*education, health, works get lion share

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has presented over 245 billion Naira draft to the state House of Assembly for the 2023 fiscal year titled, “Budget of Consolidation Two”, while education, healthcare and agriculture received largest share.
Speaking at the colourful event, Governor Ganduje assured that his administration would continue to use the state’s resources for the implementation of vital developmental projects that benefit the people at both rural and urban settlements.
The governor further said that, “we have done a lot from our existence to date and Kano people are enjoying what we executed as dividends of democracy, like what witnessed in every sector.
“We want to assure our electorate that our administration would ensure that all what has been budgeted is also implemented.”
Responding, the Speaker of the Kano State House of assembly, Honourable Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari stated that the parliament would work selflessly for the passage of the budget proposal in order to ensure speedy implementation of what the budget contains as proposed by the executive arm of the government.
In a chat with our correspondent, the Executive Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Council, Alhaji Ado Tambai Kwa said that Governor Ganduje would continue to be remembered for what he offered to Kano State in every sector.
He was optimistic that the 2023 budget would facilitate development, economic progress and security in the state.
