The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has finally accepted the resignation of the state’s Accountant-General, Hajiya A’isha Bello and thanked her for the contribution she gave towards the development of the state since she was appointed as commissioner in the state’s executive council.
In a statement signed by the Kano Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, the Governor also ordered the commencement of the investigation on the states financial transactions, contracts payments and the alleged deduction of salaries among others.
Prior to the statement issued over the resignation of Hajiya A’isha Mohammed Bello, Governor Ganduje had rejected the Accountant-General’s resignation.
Current Affairs commentators lamented that the resignation of A’isha Bello may be due to the rapid interference from some top functionaries from those very close to the governor which is habitual.
