FUT, Kadpoly‎ Matriculate 146 B. Tech Students

146 B. Tech. (Ed.) students of the Kaduna Polytechnic in affiliation ‎with Federal University  of Technology (FUT), Minna were on Tuesday matriculated for the 2016/2017 academic session.
The occasion was the eighteenth in the series of ‎matriculation in affiliation with the FUT, Minna for the award in B. Tech (Ed.) in Automobile Technology, Building Technology, Electricity/ Electrical/Electronics Technology, Metal Technology, Wood Technology, Computer Technology and Educational Technology.
In her speech, the Acting Rector, Kaduna‎ Polytechnic Dr (Mrs) Catherine E. Uloko noted that Kaduna Polytechnic and FUT, Minna are two great Institutions making giant strides in manpower training for National Development.
Represented by Dr. John Aliu Director College of Business and Management Studies, the rector reminded the matriculating students of the legal implication of the ‎matriculating oath and the need to abide by the terms of the oath.
“You must dissociate ‎yourselves from all forms of vices and dubious activities such as cultism, examination malpractice, sexual harassment and immorality. Adhere strictly with dress code of the institution. Let me reiterate that the punishment for such activities is outright expulsion.
Earlier in his address, the Vice Chancellor of the FUT, Minna Professor M.A Akanji further reiterated that Kaduna Polytechnic and FUT, Minna are known for academic excellence and are not conventional. Institutions but specialised centres of Technological and scientific development‎ with emphasis on innovation and practical experiences that are geared towards the production of nation’s much needed technical manpower that will put Nigeria at par with technologically advanced nations.
Represented by Professor Emmanuel E. Odensi,‎ the director collaboration, affiliation and linkages‎, FUT Minna‎, the vice chancellor urged the matriculants not to dissipate their energies in pursuit of personal gains or destructive activities which he said will be tantamount to misplaced priorities and contribute to the lowering of standards of education.
“You should therefore combine both academic and moral excellence during your years of studies in Kaduna Polytechnic in affiliation to FUT, Minna. You should refrain from all acts. Which are contrary to the rules and regulations of Kaduna Polytechnic and FUT, Minna so as not to jeopadise the realization of your life ambitions”.
