 Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN) has officially opened its State tate secretariat in Jos, plateau State metropolis, with a passionate call on Fulani parents to give priority to the education of their  children and train them to   acquire vocational skills  that can make them productive to themselves and their  immediate community .
  The  new office  is located at Block 237, No.4A, beside  University of Jos Senior Staff Quarters, Bauchi Road.


 The patron of the association who is also the Emir of Wase in the state, Dr Sambo Abdullahi said the call became necessary in view of the mess the group members have found themselves in sub Saharan Africa.


He charged members to ensure they denounce activities of unruly behaviour perpetrated by some Fulanis who had their parents either killed or their cattle stolen.


He paid tributes to a former President of GAFDAN, late Alh Sale Bayeri, the founder, by dedicating the office and naming it after him.


Represented by the Galama Wase, Alh Mustapha Umar urged the association to be more united especially as the general election is around the corner. .
  ” if we are united, you have over 12,000,000 eligible voters to determine who the next president of Nigeria will be.


 “we want all the Fulanis to create awareness campaign to the youth to live in peace with one another for development to take place because without peace, no government can embark on meaningful projects that will benefit the populace,” he advised


The National President of GAFDAN, Alh Yakubu Suleiman expressed confidence that the association will  soon meet to chart a way forward…


He explained that the wellbeing of the association’s members through stewardship in the country and in the diaspora, should form the main focus of the group

He appealed to government and publicspirited individuals to support them towards revamping all the nomadic schools in the country to end hostility

and ignorance of its members .


Suleiman pointed out that the Fulanis are not the only tribes in Nigeria that are committing the crime of kidnapping and banditry.

“There are other ethnic nationalities,

especially the Igbo,Yoruba but today, it has extended across all tribes so how can we get out of the predicament?” He queried.


He called on Fulani parents to train their children in a manner that would promote national unity.

“We see that by giving them education, all these evil tendency in the society will end,” he stressed.


The National Secretary, ,Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi explained further that they formed themselves into associations that would concentrate on the education of their worth .


“We are focusing on rebuilding the confidence on how to mobilize all members through outreach to build schools ,hospitals and vocational skills acquisition training centers across the 36 states,” he informed.


He disclosed that the association has built a computer training center in Kogi, grazing reserve and nursery, primary and senior secondary schools from SSS 1-2 in Kwara State.
