FRSC Seeks Media Support On Road Safety Campaign

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kaduna State Command,  Hafiz Mohammed, has solicited the support of the media in the campaign on road safety.

Mohammed made the call on Thursday when he received members of the Catholic Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (CAMPAN) led by its Chairman, Comrade  Nicholas Dekera, in his office, in Kaduna.

Mohammed said that the campaign against road accident was not the responsibility of the FRSC alone, but a collective effort which they needed the media to also assist. 

“Campaign against road accident is everybody’s responsibility, we will engage the media to carry road safety messages to the grassroot”. He said.

He also said that “we want the media to collaborate with the corps to educate and train road users to curtail road accident.

He also noted that people are dying everyday as a result of  road clashes, saying that FRSC is working tirelessly to reduce road accident.

The Chairman CAMPAN Kaduna, Comrade Nicholas Dekera commended the efforts of FRSC in curtailing road accident, especially in the state.

Dekera also promised to collaborate with the corps in educating road users.
