Former UCCDA Boss, Prince Enobong Uwah Becomes New SSG In Akwa Ibom



The newly appointed Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah has been sworn into office by the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno to succeed Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem.

Prince Uwah made the list of the first five appointments in Pastor Umo Eno’s new administration, who was sworn in on Monday as the Executive Governor of the state.

Performing the ceremony at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo on Wednesday, Governor Eno charged the new SSG to see his appointment as a call to service for the advancement of development in the state as the administration set out to usher in a new era of peace and stability.

The new SSG, Prince Enobong Uwah, was until his appointment, the Executive Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA).

He is a consummate public servant with deep administrative and organizational proficiencies.

Before his new appointment, Prince Uwah served the state as a Commissioner for Environment and Mineral Resources, Commissioner, Housing and Urban Renewal, Secretary General of the Divine Mandate, 2019, Secretary General, Maintain Peace Movement (MPM), and recently, Secretary General, Umo Eno/Akon Eyakenyi Campaign Organization.

The new SSG holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Cross River State, now University of Uyo and a Masters in Public Administration, also from the University of Uyo.

The 54 years old Atan Offot, Uyo-born politician is a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary International, a devout Christian, an avid golfer and a philanthropist.

He is married to Mrs. Inemesit Uwah and is blessed with children.

New Nigerian learnt that, others who made the list of Governor Umo Eno’s first appointment include, Mr. Ekerette Udo who maintained his former position as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Anietie Usen – Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Otobong Edem Inung – Chief Protocols, and Dr (Mrs.) Uduakobong Inam – Economic Adviser.
