In an effort to enhance agricultural activities and boost food security in his constituency, the Member Representing Lere Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Munir, has embarked on a massive distribution of both inorganic and organic fertilizers to local farmers across various wards of Lere.
According to him, “My Constituency is known anywhere as the main producers of maize and other products, they have to be encouraged and supported with the necessary farm input to sustain the status quo in feeding the country with maize every year.”
He added, “I am also doing this to encourage the youths to take farming seriously in order to earn a living and do away with idleness that lead to all kinds of illicit acts in the society. The youths are the future leaders of the society and l promised to support them so that they will continue to get something doing all the times.”
He further explained that he is keeping to his campaign promises of supporting the people at the rural areas to help them in every aspect of life in order to discourage idleness and keep them focus so that the future will be better for them.
He also explained that he would support those who take education seriously by encouraging them with the necessary things that will enhance their educational pursuits so that they will be better placed in the society.
He also promised to continue looking into the area of assisting students in higher institutions so that those from poor families would be supported in order to continue with their education to the high level.
He called on the people of his Constituency especially the youths to desist from acts that are inimical to the overall peace and development of their communities, stressing that it is only in a peaceful society that people could pursue their daily activities without any problem.
The lawmaker promised to lobby for things that could enhance the living standards of the people through the provision of social amenities in the constituency.
He called on the people to be law abiding by living in peace with each others, pointing out that anybody suspected of any criminal tendencies should be brought to book to save the area from bad eggs.
