The bridge which links Wase to Langtang in  Plateau State, the home town of  Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Idris Amadu Maje Wase has been cut  off due to heavy downpour and flooding.

The bridge was scheduled for rehabilitation in one of the projects lobbied by the deputy Speaker, but was not possible due to some political matters.

Reasons for the non execution of  the road and the bridge despite  its importance to the socio-economic development of the area is now giving the people of the area sleepless nights.

Speaking, Ibrahim Biliyamu lamented that the collapsed bridge links up the two communities and is instrumental to the movement of goods and services.

He added that members of the communities are farmers and that this development has affected them badly, saying that, “the authority needs to do the needful.”

They appealed to governments at all levels to intervene and remedy the situation.
