Fifth Chukker 2016: Rubicon gets advantage in Access Bank Cup, as hostilities begin for Charity Shield

Rubicon galloped off with a win against Kashton in the opening match for the 2016 Access Bank Cup, which is a high goal trophy at the Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club on Wednesday.
The tension soaked match ended 11-9 ½ to the delight of the fans of Rubicon, while Kashton fans are hoping on seeing their team win their next match.
In the fixture which New Nigerian Sports got a copy of, on Thursday, Rubicon locked horns with Caverton Sao Paolo, while the last match for the Access Bank Cup is billed for Sunday, June 5, between Caverton Sa Paolo and Kashton, from where the winner will be determined after the round robin fixture.
For the 2016 Charity Shield, three top teams will be attempting to outplay each other in their bid to claim the prestigious trophy.
The opening match for the trophy was played on Wednesday, featuring Keffi Ponys versus MRS Oil and Gas.
Thursday, actions resumed with Keffi Ponys again galloping into the field as they faced team Access Bank Fifth Chukker.
The deciding match for the group is billed for Sunday between Access Bank Fifth Chukker and MRS Oil and Gas.
Meanwhile, after the last matches for both trophies on Sunday, winners will be presented their trophies by top dignitaries expected to be present.
