FG approves establishment of Police Secondary School in North East

Federal Government has approved the establishment in Bauchi of a Police Secondary School for the North East sub-region.
The Force Education Officer (FEO) and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo disclosed this while inspecting police children schools in Bauchi.
Ladodo explained that all arrangements have been concluded by the Federal Government to establish Police Secondary school in Bauchi, as approval to that effect has already been forwarded to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
“All approval documents prepared by the Federal Government to establish Police Secondary School for the North East in Bauchi are on my table with the hope very soon the region will have a police secondary school”, he said.
Ladodo stated, “It was the only region left behind across the country that doesn’t have the police secondary school, but with the recent approval of Federal Government very soon the region will get one which is to be sited in Bauchi”.
The DCP pledged to look in to the challenges of inadequate teaching and none teaching staff and infrastructural problems facing the three police children schools in the state.
The Force Education Officer visited three police children Schools of Bauchi 1 Yelwa, Children School Yandoka Road, and Kafin Madaki school in Ganjuwa Local Government Area for the inspection.
Earlier speaking the Head Teacher of the Police Children School lamented on inadequate teaching and non-teaching staff  in the schools, as he also requested for the construction of more blocks of class rooms and provision of adequate water supply in the schools.
Chairman, Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Yelwa policw school, Bala Usman Garga has in a remark urged the Force Education Officer to give priority to North East region schools.
According to him, the region is behind in education with the insurgency activities the region was devastated educationally; hence attention should be paid to the region to make up the gap.
Garga also appealed to the FEO to introduce and organize a quarterly meeting with PTA Chairmen and secretaries of the schools to enable the stakeholders tackle challenges facing the schools.
Such a meeting, he observed, and it will also open doors for ideas to move the schools and the education of children appropriately.
