Fayose’s visit to Aregbesola “highly dishonourable” – APC group

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Action Group in Ekiti state has kicked against the Tuesday visit of Governor Ayodele Fayose to Governor Rauf Aregbesola in Osogbo, saying they  “are not convinced that Fayose meant well with his visit to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola”
According to the APC Action Group in a release by its spokesperson, Mr Segun Dipe, the visit to Osogbo by Governor Fayose was a macabre dance, adding that the Ekiti State governor himself was “a disaster, looking for where to happen”.
The group stressed that making such a trip to Governor Aregbesola within a short notice and with such a retinue of followers few days after Governor Fayose had allegedly gone on air “to insult our President in his usual manner is questionable and condemn-able”.
“We are not convinced that Fayose meant well with his visit to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who is a thoroughbred progressive and a Yoruba leader of worth. What relationship has darkness with light?
“Fayose must be avoided by every normal person. We see the visit as a highly dishonourable one, in view of the several spats he had made against APC and President Muhammadu Buhari”, it said.
The group alleged that Governor Fayose “is not a credible person and his actions could not have been credible”, adding, “he claimed it was in the spirit of Yoruba unity, what unity can someone in disunity with himself preach? What Yoruba virtue does he exemplify?”
“He symbolises all the ugliness that we are fighting to change in our body politic. He is an embodiment of all that is indecent and his values are antithetical to all that our party and our President stand for.”
The APC group however warned Governor Fayose to stay away from the APC and its leaders and keep his antics within the ambit of his Peoples Democratic Party, saying,  “we don’t want him to come and contaminate APC and all that we represent in Nigeria today.
“We therefore advise all progressive governors to keep him at arms length and allow him to keep dancing his macabre alone.
“If the whole world must know, Fayose has set Ekiti State backwards several years and removed the values from us. He has affected the psyche of an average Ekiti man and woman”.
