Fayemi Commiserates With Ogotun People Over Monarch’s Passing

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has commiserated with the Ologotun- in- council, the royal family and the people of Ogotun- Ekiti over the passing of its traditional ruler, the Ologotun of Ogotun Ekiti,Oba Oladapo Oyebade.

Dr. Fayemi’s condolence message was contained in a statement released in Ado-Ekiti,the State capital on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Yinka Oyebode.

The Governor said the late Monarch performed creditably well during his reign as Ologotun by uniting his people, a development that made the notable mat business flourish during his time.

The Governor noted that the late monarch he had exercised the privilege of leading his people with utmost diligence and unassuming dedication since he assumed the throne.

He commended the late Oba Oyebade for being a strong proponent of peace, progress and development adding that the late monarch would long be remembered in the annals of Ogotun community and Ekiti State for being an exemplar in virtually all facets of life.

“On behalf of myself, my wife, Bisi and the good people of Ekiti State, I extede condolences to the good people of Ogotun-Ekiti, the Ologotun-in-council, and the immediate family members of the late Oba Oyebade and pray God to repose the soul of the departed monarch and comfort the family and the people of Ogotun-Ekiti”. the Governor added.
