Farming Remains Way Out Of Nigeria’s Economic Recession – Rev Father Omolade

Rector, St Paul Institute and Chairman Planning Committee, Chairman, Planning Committee of the 50th Priestly ordination anniversary of Most Reverend Dr Felix Alaba Job, Archbishop Emeritus of Ibadan, Reverend Father, Richard Omolade on Monday said farming is the only way out of the present economic recession in Nigeria.
Rev Father Omolade stated this while answering questions from newsmen at a press briefing organized to highlight programmes lined up for the 50th Priestly ordination anniversary of Most Reverend Alaba Job starting next Monday.
The Reverend Father pointed out that there will be no way for the country and Nigerians as a whole to get out of the present economic recession in as much as we are still relying on others to feed us.
He maintained that “the economic recession is still around us because we are looking for others to feed us” adding that farming is the only sure way out of the recession.
Reverend  Father Omolade while urging Nigerians to take into farming stressed that better future awaits Nigerians despite the present challenges in facing country, saying, “don’t be discouraged, Nigeria economy will become better if all of us can work hard”.
“Don’t be discouraged, Nigeria economy will become better if all of us can work hard. Things may be hard now,but I think the future will be better”
According to the Chairman,Planning Committee of the 50th Priestly ordination anniversary of Most Reverend Dr Felix Alaba Job, government on its part too should put in place conducive atmosphere in place to encourage Nigerians and move the country forward.
Speaking on the 50th Priestly ordination anniversary of Most Reverend Alaba Job,the Rector St Paul Institute said a gala night would come up on Monday,  December 19 at the Fr Dolan’s hall, Oke Ado, Ibadan while a mass will hold at St Joseph’s Catholic church, Oke Ado, Ibadan with a grand reception,fund raising and presentation about  Most Reverend Alaba Job
Eulogising Most Reverend Alaba Job for his contributions to the Catholic church, Rev Father Omolade urged other religious leaders in Nigeria to emulate the exemplary leadership qualities of Alaba Job.
