Three aspirants in the September 3, 2016 primary election, Chief Olusola Oke, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice and Chief Olusegun Abraham are dissociating themselves from the decision of the National Chairman of the party, Chief Oyegun’s decision to adopt Barr Rotimi Akeredolu as the Candidate for the November 26, 2016 gubernatorial election.
Addressing a joint Press Conference in Akure, Chief Oke and Prof. Borrofice decried the fraudulent practices that characterised the delegates list before Sept 3 primary election.
According to them, the purported winner of the primary, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu was the first to put up a written protest before the primary only for him to reap from the fraudulent act.
Their position, they said is not based on personal interest as they await the next line of action from the people of Ondo state because they want the world to see the injustice being perpetrated by the National Chairman who has acted against the popular decision of other members of the Committee.
Chief Olusegun Abraham who was said to be part of the decision was however said to be unavoidably absent since they jointly took the decision to address the Press, adding that his supporters were present.
It is not how ever clear if the three will eventually put someone forward as they all declared their continuous members of the All Progressives Congress against all odds.
They how ever appealed to their followers to keep the peace with assurance that Justice shall be done with their collective readiness to  to salvage the people of the state from economy slavery which they found themselves in the last seven years.
The Press Conference which took place at vthe NUJ Press Center, Alagbaka, Akure was attended by the stakeholders of Ondo State politics, had resolved to ensure that the recommendation of the Electoral Appeal Committee is upheld for the overall interest of the people of Ondo State.
