Addressing a press conference Thursday in Kaduna at the commencement of the joint meeting of the State Executive committee and Advisory Council of the APC AKIDA, the convener Mr Maiyashe disclosed that there are two key organs of the faction that are also being established in all LGAs, Wards and polling units in the state.
He stressed that the APC AKIDA provides a platform for all key stakeholders and active members to work for the progress of the party in the state.
Although he said the APC AKIDA was not a faction of APC in the state or an alternative party structure, he stated however that, “We exist because our party structures do not exist or function in a manner prescribed by our party constitution ‎or in the interest of our members and one of our key goals is to help to re-establish party structures at all levels.
“We exist because our party has been deliberately hijacked and incapacitated, and our members are deprived of a major asset to exercise ‎their rights to be served by a party which put this government in power.
“All of us here and thousands who are mobilizing our fellow party members in grassroots worked hard to put this government in power, and we want an APC government that will work successfully for the people.
“In the coming weeks‎, APC AKIDA will intensify its campaign to mobilize members to protect their legitimate interests. We will encourage to be decent and responsible, and to shun illegal and provocative acts and utterance.
“We will also urge them to remain steadfast in the pursuit of their rights as party members and citizens.
“We reiterate our appeal to the National leadership of our great party to fulfill its promise to reconstruct our party at all levels in our state,” he stated.
