The personal Assistant to the late Olubadan of Ibadan land Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade and the Secretary to the Olubadan In Council  had cautioned the warring Igbo leaders in Oyo State to leave the Olubadan of Ibadan and the Olubadan in Council out of their leadership tussle.
Speaking with journalists, the personal Assistant to the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, ,Chief Isiaka Akinpelu  declared as false, a purported letter written on behalf of Olubadan-In-Council that Dr. Alex Anozie should no longer claim to be Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland and Oyo State respectively.
Chief Akinpelu who also doubled as the Baale of  Jagun in Lagelu Local Government in Oyo State pointed out that to the best of his knowledge, the leadership tussle among the Igbos in Oyo State was pending at an Appellate Court and that the court was to resolve it for the parties in the tussle.
“Much as we want peace among our people, the court of law should be allowed to mediate on the Igbo leadership conflict. I am sure the Olubadan-In-Council and the Ibadan Kingmakers have respect for the rule of law and would not do otherwise” he said.
Also, the Secretary to the Olubadan-in-Council, Mr. Liasu Kamoru in his comment asked the Igbo Community in Oyo State to forget about the possibility of dragging the Olubadan-in-Council or the Kingmakers to the Igbo leadership conflict in the state.
According to Mr Kamoru, there was no letter issued on the Igbo leadership tussle from the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan with the authorisation of Olubadan-In-Council.
He urged mischief makers in the matter to desist from their attempt at dragging the traditional institution in Ibadan to a sectional conflict.
