Katsina State Government has promised to partner with the South Korean Government to provide skills and entrepreneurship development programmes to youths in the state.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari made this promise when he received the Ambassador of South Korea in Nigeria, Mr. Noh Kyu Duk who paid him a courtesy visit at Asokoro Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
The Governor further said the partnership would help in addressing insecurity and other related problems.
Alhaji Aminu Masari noted that insecurity was caused by massive unemployment, describing Katsina as a safe heaven for prospective investment.
He therefore assured of the readiness of the APC administration to partner with South Korea in the entrepreneurship development. ”Investing in Katsina State would benefit people of Africa as the state was once a gateway to many West African countries through the sub-saharan trade routes”, he stressed.
Masari therefore invited the Ambassador to visit Katsina on a fact finding mission to facilitate further collaboration.
Earlier, the Ambassador of South Korea in Nigeria, Mr. Noh Kyu Duk accompanied by his deputy expressed the country’s readiness to promote cooperation and collaboration between his country and Katsina State Government through various training programmes in rural community development.
He also expressed the resolve to help develop agricultural and livestock farming in Katsina State.
