Ensure Your Children Are Immunised, Kaduna Primary Healthcare Agency Appeals To Parents

The Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA) Dr. Hadiza Balarabe has appealed to the parents most especially in the non-compliance areas to ensure they allowed their children to be vaccinated.
This was contained in a press statement jointly signed by the Deputy Director Hamza Ikara and Coordinator Jap Lawal Dogara on Wednesday and made available to newsmen  in Kaduna.
She said “In order to make Kaduna Polio free, parents must give all the needed support to ensure their kids were vaccinated”.
The statement said Immunization for the children of 0-5 years is commencing in Kaduna State between April 22 to  25, 2017.
The statement, reminded the parents to note that polio Vaccination in the state is still compulsory adding that Parents must comply.
It appealed to the traditional rulers and religious leaders to ensure parents most especially in the rural areas avail their children to be immunized.
“The Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders should always educate their followers on the importance of allowing their kids to be vaccinated against polio and other children killer diseases” .
The statement further explained that the SPHCDA had concluded all adequate arrangements with a view to ensuring the successful conduct of the immunization in the state.
It commended World Health Organization, UNICEF, State Government and Stakeholders for their effort toward the eradication of Polio.
They  appealed to the ad-hoc staff engaged for the conduct of Polio vaccination to be sincere in their activities with a view to making the exercise a hug success.
