Southern Kaduna Renewed Hope Movement (SKRHM), has appealed to Governor Uba Sani to ensure fairness, equity and conscientious consideration in appointments and distribution of responsibilities in his government.
Yusuf Kanhu, the group’s National Coordinator, while addressing  newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday, also appealed to governor Uba Sani to reconsider the pattern of appointments and ensure fairness and equity, especially towards Christians and Southern Kaduna people in his administration.
The group decried the recent appointments made by the governor, saying that the appointments did not represent the diverse population of Kaduna State, particularly in terms of religious and regional diversity.
The National Coordinator said, “In the last three sets of appointees, there has been an apparent imbalance, with a larger proportion of Muslims and a smaller proportion of Christians being appointed.”
According to him, out of 14 Commissioners, only three are Christians while the rest are Muslims, suggesting that the governor should strive to ensure fairness, equity, and conscientious consideration in the distribution of responsibilities and appointments.
While acknowledging the efforts made by the governor in appointing a few individuals from Southern Kaduna, he said that more should be done to involve individuals who have contributed to the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in positions of strategic importance.
