‎The Federal Government has been call upon to as a matter of priority engage the services of the rehabilitated Internally Displace Persons IDPs into the nation’s Para Military.
The IDPs made the call in Malkohi IDPs camp situated in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State when the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Immigration Service visited the camp to donate relief items.
The Para Military chiefs had pledged to assist the IDPs when they accompanied the Interior Minister, Dambazau to the camps ‎recently.
In fulfilling the pledge, the Commander General of NSCDC, Abdullahi Muhammad Gana presented bags of rice and cooking oil to the displaced persons at Malkohi camp in Yola.
Represented by the State Commandant, Muhammadu Durumin-Iya, the CG said the Corps shared the grief of those who lost family members and property to insurgency.
“We are here in fulfillment of a promised made and pronounced by the Minister of Interior, urging all the Service Chiefs under his ministry to support the IDPs in Yola.” he said‎.
Durimi Iya stated that in an effort to add more value and result-oriented approach in total degrading of insurgency challenge, his men are receiving more training in Military outfit in Jaji, Kaduna and will soon move back to the battle field.
Our correspondent in Yola reports that some weeks back,    the state Comptroller of Immigration‎, Ubi Ukpi had donated sewing machines for the training programme at the camp as part of the pledge made by the Comptroller General, Martins Kure.
