At a time when politicians are busy politicking and canvassing for vote from delegates ahead of party primaries, Hon. Kwamoti La’ori, member representing Numan/Demsa/Lamurde Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives dares to be different by focusing his attention on empowering his people and bettering their lot.
Following the third phase of La’ori’s empowerment project, the people of Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State were full of gratitude to God.
Items distributed included fertilizer, herbicides, Knapsack Sprayer, clippers and generators, sewing machines, grinding machines and water pumps.
Beneficiaries include men and women drawn each from across the 95 polling units of Numan Local Government Area, as well as groups and cooperatives.
The event which was held at the Government Lodge Numan Local Government Area, was attended by hundreds of beneficiaries across the local government.
In their remarks, P. P. Power, chairman pension board, Hon. Dishi Khobe, Commissioner of Tertiary Education, Executive Chairman of Numan LGA and representative of paramount rulers of Bachama, commended the lawmaker and urged the beneficiaries to put the equipment to good use.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Tina Friday, said the gesture shouldn’t have come at a better time as it will help them to become self-reliant.
Highpoint of the event was a cultural dance performed by Ngra-Injiya Bwatiye Cultural Troupe.
New Nigerian reports that this is the third time the honourable member is distributing empowerment materials to his constituents in 2022.
