Emir Of Zuru Admonishes Politicians, Citizens On Peaceful Coexistence

The Emir of Zuru, General Muhammadu Sani Sami, Sami Gomo II has called on the citizens of Kebbi State, especially politicians to promote the cause of peaceful coexistence and sustainable development of the State at all times.
The revered traditional ruler made the charge in Zuru on Monday, when he received Engr. Garba Haruna, Garkuwan Kabi who paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.
Major General Muhammadu Sani Sami described Engr. Garba Haruna as a patriotic citizen of Kebbi State and a committed public servant whose immense contributions in improving the power supply situation in Zuru Emirate as well as providing employment opportunities to teaming youth of the State during his tenure as Managing Director/CEO of Kaduna Electric shall always remain a reference point in public service.
He prayed for God’s guidance and wish him success in all his future endeavours.
Earlier, the  frontline Gubernatorial aspirant, Engr. Garba Haruna who described Zuru as his second home, promised to promote the virtues of fairness, equity and harmonious co-existence among citizens of the State.
He also advocated effective synergy and collaboration between traditional institution and political institutions for the greater benefit of the citizenry.
“The importance of our traditional institutions cannot be over emphasised; they must be accorded their rightful position and be consulted in policy formulation and decision making process, if we desire to have an enduring  peace and sustainable development”, he said.
