Emir Of Katsina Demands More Investment In Health Facilities

Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman has stressed the need for government and other stakeholders to prioritized provision of sufficient and up to date medical equipment at health facilities in the state.

Alhaji Kabir Usmam was speaking when officials of the African Youth Growth Foundation under the leadership of Dr. Umar Bello Bindawa paid him a courtesy call at his palace.

Alhaji Abdulmumin Kabir Usman also advocated for enhanced Doctors, Nurses and patients relationship in all the medical facilities in the State saying such efforts would go along with Government desire to cater for the people’s health.

According to the Emir, this would also address all the hiccups associated with lack of proper diagnosis of diseases at the State medical laboratories.

The Emir also called on the Foundation to include the need for provision of unique medical tools at hospitals in their agenda.

Earlier, the leader of the team, Dr. Umar Bello Bindawa said the visit to the Emir was to inform him on the readiness of the African Youth Growth Foundation to commence administration of nutrition packages to the beneficiaries across the State.

According to him, the beneficiaries of the nutrition packages include pregnant and nursing mothers as well as children.

Dr. Umar Bello said the nutrition packages consist of vitamin ‘B’ iron folic, de-worming tablets and micro nutrient powder among others.

He solicited for the support of the traditional institutions to make their work a success in the state.
