As Kaduna State children join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate the International Children’s Day, the Wife Of Kaduna State Governor, Hajiya Ummi el-Rufai, has called on parents to take
advantage of the improved educational atmosphere In the state by enrolling their children in school.
Hajiya Ummi el-Rufai made the call at the Children’s Day Celebration
held at LEA Model Primary School, Fifth Chukker Maraban Jos, Kaduna.
She explained that education Is the bedrock for the development of
every society, hence the need to ensure that every child gets educated.
Speaking In an interview with newsmen, the Project Manager of Fifth Chukker Resort, Biodun Abęoye and the Head Master of the School, Abdullahi Magaji, as well as the village head, all spoke on the significance of the
celebration.
They identified education as the bedrock of every society and called on parents to take good advantage of the educational development in the state by ensuring that their children go to school to enable them compete favourably with their counterparts across the globe.
Highlight of the occasion was interesting debates and games by the students.
The United Nations set aside every May 27 to celebrate Children’s Day
around the world.
