Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai of Kaduna State on Wednesday attended the funeral prayers of the slain member of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Rilwan Aminu Gadagau.
Gadagau who represented Giwa West Constituency was shot by bandits along the Kaduna-Zaria Road on Monday.
The Governor was received at the Haruna Danja Jumma’a Mosque located at Tudun Wada in Zaria by the Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assemlby, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani and other lawmakers.
The Governor after the funeral prayers, described Gadagau as a lawmaker who was committed and dedicated to his constituents and the state at large. He prayed for the repose of his soul, and the souls of other citizens lost in recent attacks in the state.
