President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on Sunday, tasked Muslim faithful in Nigeria and in the diaspora to imbibe the teachings of Holy Prophet and be inspired to live in harmony, love and service to humanity.
Senator Akpabio gave the task in a message to celebrate Muslims on the feast of Id el Maulud, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh.
The President of the Senate stressed that Muslim faithful should also be inspired by Prophet Muhammad’s virtues of harmony, love and service to humanity as they celebrate his birthday.
“Distinguished Muslim brothers and sisters, on behalf of my family, constituents and the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I extend warm felicitations to you all on the occasion of Eid el Maulud, the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)”, he said
Senator Akpabio added, “As you celebrate this important Muslim feast, I pray that this auspicious day brings peace, joy, and blessings to our great nation and the world at large”.
“I enjoin you to imbibe the teachings of the Holy Prophet and be inspired to live in harmony, love and service to humanity.Wishing you all a happy and blessed Eid el Maulud celebration”.
