Osun State Police Command on Thursday, said security has already been beefed up in the state to ensure a crime-free Salah celebration in and across the state
The command made this known in a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, for the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, CP Mohammed Umar Abba.
According to the statement, the CP has ordered effective and extensive deployment of policemen as well as all necessary logistics to strategic points along the highway, worship centres and all nooks and crannies of the state.

The statement stressed that the CP, in a directive issued to all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers as well as Tactical Commanders in the State Command, charged them to ensure that no stone is left unturned in making sure that adequate security is provided in their various areas of jurisdiction.
It maintained that maximum attention should be paid to critical public places and other points prone to public disturbance and that heads of formations should personally supervise their personnel deployed for this special assignment and warn them not to infringe on the rights of citizens but to protect them towards untold incidence.
It maintained that “they are to ensure a 24/7-hourly surveillance of their respective area of operations.
Soliciting for the cooperation of all and sundry, Osun State Police command then urged citizens in the state to be law abiding.
The command also tasked Parents and guardians in the state to take good care of their wards and advise them to stay away from any act capable of causing public disorderliness.
