Chairman of the Northern Speaker’s Forum and Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, has urged Muslim Ummah to pray for the outgoing and incoming administrations as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
This was contained in a statement signed by his SA Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani and made available to newsmen in Kaduna yesterday.
“On this joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend my warmest greetings and felicitations to all Muslims in the Northern region and beyond. This blessed day marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, symbolizing the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity.
“As we celebrate this auspicious day, let us reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and strive to continue embodying them in our daily lives. In the face of adversity and challenges, let us maintain our faith, resilience, and unwavering commitment to peace and harmony,” he said.
Zailani stressed, “I urge us all to use this occasion to pray for our leaders, our country, and for peace to reign in our communities. May Allah accept our acts of worship, bless our families and loved ones, and grant us all good health, prosperity, and success.”
Zailani urged Muslims to pray for the outgoing administration of President Muhammad Buhari and Malam Nasiru Ahmed el-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State.
He also urged them to pray for the incoming President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Senator Uba Sani, the incoming Governor of Kaduna State.
“It is common for individuals to offer prayers and well-wishes for leaders and those in positions of power, regardless of their personal beliefs or political affiliations. Eid Mubarak!” He said.
