Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) shocked most Nigerians when on Wednesday night, it declared immediate past Governor of Katsina State, Barrister Ibrahim Shema wanted.
The public notice declaring him wanted was signed by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwajuren.
The EFCC explained that the public notice was issued after the former governor failed to honour several invitations of clraring his name in fraud charges running into billions of Naira when he held sway as governor.
This notice is coming days after President Muhammadu Buhari assured that his corruption fight would not be selective.
Shema was governor of Katsina for two terms of four years each.
