Samaru, Zaria, Pastor Friday O. Jeremiah has said, education is not
about reading and writing alone, but is about building a generation
of future leaders that are trustworthy and can contribute in building their
He stated this at the 9th Annual Speech and Prize Giving Day Ceremony
of the academy, stressing that children are the future of any society,
therefore parents own them good academic and moral education to rank
them among the best in the world.
Pastor Jeremiah noted that, over the years, PTA has not only served as
a Vehicle for promoting closer Parent-Teacher Cooperation and
communication but evolved into a private role aimed at strengthening
and enhancing parent-child relationship.
According to him, with the current tides of satisfaction and modern
challenges confronting educational system in Nigeria, there is the. need for training and retraining of teachers and the PTA will continue to provide the most useful support to the school.
In his speech, the Principal Jesus is Life Academy Pastor Olalekan
Ayanda said, there is no better time to remind everyone this divine call for Students to rise and prepare better ahead of the coming days.
Ayanda also said, we must arise and improve individually and collectively for the preparations to make opportunities to size and sacrifices if we must race with men on foot.
According to him, Life is replete with examples of men whose decisions
to arise and shine deprive us of any excuse not to do same.
Earlier in her Speech, the Headmistress of Primary Section Mrs. Agada
Paulina said, the Primary School Section is aimed at providing balanced education which develops pupils’ personal and academic potentials to enable them become great and to be able to cope with challenges that are ahead through quality education.
She added that the section is not only concerned with just academic
performance of the pupils, but they make sure that pupils are impacted with good morals religiously, socially and otherwise.
According to her, as a matter of policy, only qualified and experienced teachers are employed and they are encouraged to attend courses, workshop and seminars in order to improve their skills and efficiency.
