Alhaji Kabiru Mijinyawa, Speaker, Adamawa House of Assembly has disbursed Two million naira scholarship to ninety students studying in various higher institutions of learning.
Mijinyawa who presented the scholarship fund to students from Yola South Local Government Area, explained that the award was part of his personal effort in assisting and encouraging the students to focus on their studies.
“The gesture is my personal effort to support the students actualized their dreams.” Mijinyawa said.
Mijinyawa, who is also the member representing Yola south constituency in the state Assembly enjoyed well to do individuals and organizations to support educational development of the area.
He emphasized that days are gone where parents would leave their children educational matters for government alone to handle.
“Government cannot afford to carter education need for all, henceforth, the need to collectively join hands together for successful deliverance.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiary’s parents, Malam Saidu Boka thanked the speaker for the gesture.
Boka, however, challenged the benefiting students to compliment the effort of the speaker by concentrating on their studies to enable them excel in their academic pursuit.
