Staff of Egor Local Government Council in Edo State have been paid seven months out of the 17 months salary owed them by the Council Authority.
Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Justin Okonoboh disclosed this at the resumption of plenary in Benin City, Tuesday.
The Parliament had recently adopted a resolution which mandated the State Government to source the Sum of N366,467,000,00 from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to pay workers in Egor Local Government Council.
Okonoboh said all categories of workers being owed in the State will be paid, and sued for patience on the part of the affected workers as they go about their normal duties peacefully.
