Economic Empowerment: Ortom sets up committee for SMEs, Agric Loans

In his bid at ensuring that those who really need the facility are reached, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has set up a committee to review activities of the monitoring team which handled the N2 billion Small and Medium Enterprises, (SMEs) loan the state took during the previous administration to make it have greater impact on the people.
According to a statement signed by the  Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Terver Akase, the Committee is to also work out modalities for the proposed Agricultural Loan for farmers of the state. It will also consider the establishment of the Benue State Council on SMEs as well as the State Technical Committee.
The Committee has Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Tersoo Kpelai as Chairman.
The Committee has one week to submit its report.
