Economic crunch: Clergies restate God’s hope in New Year messages
By; Alex Uangbaoje, Kaduna.
The much awaited 2016 is finally here. Various governments world over are facing economic crunches with many damping the hope of their citizens by telling them that difficulties await them in 2016.
Nigeria is not an exception as various state and the federal governments has consistently told her citizens to braze up for hard times. Even prophets also prophesied doom for the nation.
But the word of God from some clergies in Nigeria shows that God will not abandon this blessed Nation. He said in the book of Job 22: 29 “when men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is a lifting up; and he shall save the humble person”.
So no matter how bad the economy, there is hope for those who believes in the word of God. The psalmist said “thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my part.”
Several Nigerian Pastors gave their themes for the year 2016, this is believed to be the mind of God for the year to their congregation who gathered for various December 31st cross over services across the country.
