Members of the Amasiri Town Union, Abakaliki Branch have commended Governor David Nweze Umahi for his infrastructural strides in Amasiri and other parts of the state.
The union made the commendation during their 2022 End of the Year Get-together, held in Abakaliki, on Sunday.
Articulating the views of the union, the president, Elder Oko Okpara Oko applauded the governor for the ongoing construction of the Amasiri flyover which he said would go a long way in mitigating the level of carnages on the road.
He also thanked the governor for appointing their sons and daughters into positions of thrust.
Elder Oko appreciated the Governor for the appointment of Chief Chooks Oko as the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Strategy, describing him as a round peg in a round hole.
Responding, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Chief Chooks Oko lauded members of the Amasiri Town Union for supporting the administration of Engineer David Nweze Umahi.
While appealing to them to redouble their efforts for the victory of all APC Candidates in the next year’s general elections, Chief Oko promised to convey their message of solidarity to the Governor.
The union later presented a gift to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Strategy, as a mark of their solidarity to him and the administration of Engr. David Nweze Umahi having transformed the state beyond expectation.
