Easter; Clerics Advise Nigerians to embrace peace

Nigerian have been advised to embrace peace, love and mutual understanding irrespective of religion, ethnic and geographical differences and location.
Bishop Ali Buba Lamido of Anglican Dioceses of Wusasa and Reverend Isaac Gbadero of First Baptist Church Sabon Gari, Zaria, who gave the advised in their separate Easter messages in Zaria said the period is to show love to people irrespective of their belief.
The Clerics explained the importance of the Easter which began with ash Wednesday that marked the end of the 40 days of fasting by Christians all over the world and end with Easter celebrations.
According to them, the period is to remembered the death and the ressurection of Jesus Christ.
They advised all Christians to show love to people irrespective of their believe and to respect each others’ faith since Nigerian constitution provides avenue to its citizens to practice the religion of their choice without hindrance.
On the government, the Clergymen appealed to the three tiers of government to as a matter of urgency create jobs opportunities to the teaming graduates as a means of utilizing their talents in developing the nation.
“Nigeria is a blessed country with human and mineral resources and it is very important that our leaders should endeavour to utilize them accordingly” one of them stressed.
