DSS, Dougirei Residents Get Health Centre

 In line with its policy to provide access to healthcare,  Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa State, has laid the foundation for the construction of Primary Healthcare Center at the premises of Directorate of State Security (DSS) in Jimeta.
According to him, the building will be completed within three months and equipped to serve people of the area.
Bindow described the project as important to personnel as well as residents of Dougirei and commended the state House of Assembly for ensuring that the executive arm continue to provide basic amenities to the people.
In his remarks, Executive Chairman of the Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Abdullahi Belel said the construction of the health center was part of plan by government to provide health care centers in each of the political ward in the state.
He explained that one block of the hospital would be constructed with additional one block to serve as staff quarters for health personnel considering the fact that twenty four hours service would be provided.
Belel appreciated the governor for giving the agency the free hand to operate.
Speaking earlier, State Director of the State Security, Alhaji Aliyu Othman said the move to provide the health center cannot be estimated and appreciated state government commitment to provide health center for the use of personnel of the DSS.
Also speaking, Director of Administration of the Directorate of State Security, Femi Aeron described the project as laudable and assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ease difficulties to enable civilians as well as residents of Dougirei to have access to the health center upon completion.
He said personnel and their families would have their medical needs taken care of, as medical and Laboratory services would be provided.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Governor Martins Babale, Secretary to the state government, Dr Umar Buba Bindir as well as other aides and members of the State House of Assembly.
