The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested council Chairmen of Gwarzo and Kano Municipal, Bashir Abdullahi Kutama and Faizu Alfindiki respectively, for alleged using armed political thugs in the State.
It was gathered that recently about three persons
were killed during political activities of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje at various local government areas of the state, an issue that is threatening the peaceful coexistence in the state.
A senior DSS officer who does not want his name in the print, on Wednesday, said they have arrested Faizu Alfindiki the Chairman of Kano Municipal and Bashir Abdullahi Kutama Chairman of Gwarzo local government areas, over allegations of sponsoring political thuggery in the state, culminating to attacks and subsequent killing of innocent citizens.
The DSS also declared Khalid Ishaq Diso, Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area of Kano wanted over the same allegations, while one Dr Sabiu an SSA to the governor was also arrested by the security on the same allegations.
