Dogara offers free medical services to Bauchi citizens

Doctors on the Move Africa, a non-profit organization based in Nigeria will embark on a two-week free medical outreach in Bauchi State.
The exercise to be undertaken courtesy of the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara from this Monday is scheduled to take place at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) Bauchi.
Billed to cover patients from the 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi state, the Doctors will offer services in areas of outpatient’s consultations and drugs, diabetics and hypertensive screening.
Other areas to be covered by the exercise are reading glasses and cataract operations, general minor and major surgeries such as Lipomas, hernia, fibroids and goiter.
The Medical team will also provide services such as ultra sound scanning, HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis screening as well as public health campaigns.
Patients from Bauchi, Bogoro and Alkaleri Local Government areas will be attended to by the Doctors on Monday and those from Dambam and Darazo on Tuesday 18th and 19th March respectively.
Patients from Dass and Ganjuwa Local Governments and those from Giade and Itas/Gadau are to take their turn on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, while those from Jama’are and Katagum are to see the doctors on Friday.
Saturday and Sunday, 2nd and 3rd April will be the turn of patients from Kirfi and Misau Local Governments and Ningi and Shira Local Governments respectively.
It will be the turn for patients from Tafawa Balewa and Toro, and Warji and Zaki local Governments on Monday and Tuesday, 4th and 5th April, 2016.
A statement signed by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Iliya Habila said the Doctors will complete the exercise on Wednesday April, 6 by attending to patients from all the 20 Local Governments of Bauchi state.
He advised patients to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and obey instructions from the health personnel during the exercise so as to reap the benefits of the free medical services.
