The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Misau Division, Chief Superintendent of Police, Mr. K. Maina has solicited for continued support of BRC FM Misau towards sensitizing the general public on the need to be security conscious and support to security agencies.
Speaking during a familiarization visit to the FM Station in Misau, weekend, CSP Maina said being a partner in progress, the Media play an important role in educating and enlightening the public on security issues and the need to support relevant security agencies.
He acknowledged the support given by the radio station to various security agencies, and called for the continuation of the gesture.
Maina also enjoined the media to continue in its enlightenment campaign on security issues and peaceful coexistence among the people, noting that without peace there will be no meaningful development.
The DPO called on the entire people of Misau Local Government Area to continue giving the Police necessary support in their efforts to protect lives and property of the citizens.
In his response, the Manager, BRC FM Misau, Alhaji Saminu Muhammed thanked the DPO for the visit and pledged the continued determination of the radio station toward the development of the community.
Alhaji Muhammed said the radio had in its various programmes enlightened the people on the need to live in peace and be security conscious in their day to day endeavours.
He assured the readiness of the radio station management to partner all governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations for the overall development of the society.
