Thursday November 17, 2022 was historic as the District Head of Kufana, Chief Titus Dauda was elevated to a third class chief and given the new office as Agom Kufana 1.
The event took place at the temporary palace of Agom Kufana Chiefdom in Kufana, Kajuru LGA.
The Director Chieftaincy Affairs at the Kaduna State Ministry of Local Government, who represented the state government, Sani Galadima said it’s a new dawn as development has come to the chiefdom.
He enjoined all to support the new king and pray for his success on the throne.
The Executive Chairman Kajuru LGA, Mr Ibrahim Gajere appreciated the executive governor and urged all people of the chiefdom to rally round and support the new king.
In his acceptance speech, the new Agom Kufana, Titus Dauda appreciated God almighty and the government of Kaduna State for the honour.
He promised loyalty to his people and pledged his support to the development of his community by the state government.
He said he will respect the rule of law and work within the confined of the law.
He finally pledged his loyalty and that of his people to the government of Kaduna State.
Dignitaries present included Agom Kachia, Mr. Zamani Dogonyaro, Hon Matthew Augustine who represented the House of Representatives Member Chikun/Kajuru, the secretary Kajuru LGA, the Speaker Kajuru LGA Legislative Council, former commissioner of health, Everton Peter Yari, village and wards heads.
