Discussions Ongoing With Julius Berger, Others To End Gridlock On Kaduna-Abuja Highway – Aruwan

The Kaduna State Government has expressed  compassion to citizens and other commutters over the prolonged gridlock currently experienced along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway. 

A statement signed by the Commissioner, Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Honourable Samuel Aruwan, dated Friday  September  23, 2022, said citizens plying the route over the last few days have experienced severe hardship and discomfort due to the gridlock, which is deeply regretted. 

“The Kaduna State Government is in discussions with Julius Berger PLC, and other relevant agencies, over ensuring that obstructions are promptly cleared and the gridlock is eased for normal movement of traffic as soon as possible. 

“The government once more reiterates its deep regret of the situation, and conveys its understanding of the significant pains being endured by citizens and commuters in the protracted situation. 

“Citizens will be updated accordingly,”  the statement said.
