Disagreement: Police Shot Colleague, Undergraduate, Die in Zaria Hospital

A disagreement between two Mobile Police attached to Zenith Bank Zaria branch has led to their death including one Abba Umar a student of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Kastina as a result of gun shot following a periodic shooting from one of  the Mobile Policemen, Sgt. Mathew Joshua attached to the bank and left four customers injured as a result of gun shot.

The incident happened at about 11:00am Friday, at PZ area of Zaria but immediately well armed soldiers and mobile Police cordoned the area and control the situation.
An eye witness who claimed anonymity said, the two mobile police on duty Sgt. Mathew Joshua and Sgt. Aliyu Khamilu had a disagreement over an issue better known to them.
All the affected were rushed to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika for emergency treatment, at about 12:50pm Abba Umar passed away due to lack of oxygen in the Hospital.
The two mobile policemen later passed away. Sgt. Aliyu Khamilu as a result of gun shot in his stomach while Sgt. Mathew  Joshua, who shot the gun sustained internal injuries as a result of mob action on him by the crowd around before he was rescued by the armed personnel.
Our correspondent who was at the emergency and accident ward of ABUTH reporeds that all the affected seven persons were alive and rushed there before three persons died one after the other. The remaining four casualties were still at the emergency ward receiving treatment at the time of filing this report.

When  contacted on the matter the Public Relation Officer Kaduna State Police Command,  ASP  Aliyu Usman said he was  yet  to  receive  any  report but  promised to call back as soon as he receive  the  report.
