According to her, the mother of the children was confirmed to be in sound healthy after delivery.
She, however, said considering the weight of the babies ranging from 1Kg, 1.1Kg, 1Kg and 1.2Kg and their mode of breathing, “I referred them to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria for medical attention.
“To God be the glory, I believe they are now responding to treatment at ABUTH,” said the Matron.
When contacted at the hospital, mother of the babies, Malama Maryam Abubakar said two of the four babies died on Friday and Sunday respectively, while the remaining two were still alive.
She said: “I am now about 24 years old, it took me about ten years after marriage before I gave birth to my first child, this is my second birth.
“I thank God Almighty for blessing me with quadruplets in my second birth, as am talking to you now, I am hale and healthy.
“The remaining two babies are still alive and Doctors are taking very good care of them,” she said.
