Defence Minister urges spirit of brotherhood for nation’s development

The Minister of Defence, Mansur Muhammad Dan’Ali has called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of brotherhood and encouragement for the success of the present administration.
He made the call during the lecture, public presentation and launch of the book, “Leadership and Complex Military Operations” held at Multipurpose Hall, Nigerian Defence Academy, permanent site, Kaduna.
The Minister said it was the responsibility of all Nigerians to contribute to the progress and development of the country.
Represented by the Director, Joint Services in the Ministry of Defence, David Gende, Dan-Ali said that the present government found itself in a very difficult situation which needs the support of Nigerians to achieve its desired goals, adding that there are some levels of sacrifices that Nigerians needed to make to reach the promised land.
On the challenge within the Nigerian Armed Forces, he said there were problems but identified, and since they were known, the government was trying its best to get to the root of the challenge and solve it once and for all in the country.
Earlier, the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Major General M. T. Ibrahim, said that the way out for the challenges in the Nigerian Armed Forces was to look critically towards the training at the NDA which is situated in the contemporary environment and “that is what we are doing and relating that to leadership the NDA had always emphasized on training the young leaders who are the backbone of any military operations be it conventional or unconventional”.
He said the book launched added further value and effort to that aspect and the most important aspect of the book is that it gives the young Cadets much volume to read and impart knowledge on selves so that tomorrow the military will better be led and the victory will be achieved.
