Worried by the spate of bad roads within short time of construction, the Senate Committee on Works under its leadership of Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya has summoned the General Manager of P.W Nigeria limited on decay of Nigeria roads constructed by the company.
The committee was particularly disturbed by the Oyo Ibadan highway which has dilapidated barely three years after completion, becoming a preventable death trap to the Nigerians plying the route.
After an oversight function of some roads, it wasted no time in summoning the contractors.
It would be recalled that this project cost the Federal Government of Nigeria expended the sum 20 billion naira on the road, expecting it to have a life span of 20 years while rehabilitation is 10 years.
