Day Kaduna Stood Still For Kwankwaso

The Kaduna campaign tour of leader and presidential flag bearer of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was meant to be a flag presentation exercise to governorship and senatorial candidates of the party in seven states of North West geopolitical zone, but unprecedented crowd of supporters who besieged the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, venue of the event changed the calculation of supporters of the event who later decided to make it an elaborate campaign rally.

It was a sea of supporters in the traditional red-coloured regalia of the party you could see within and outside the stadium flying flags and chanting solidarity songs of the party, saying Kwankwaso was the awaited Messiah the country had been expecting.

Hon. shehu Bawa ABG, Chieftain of the party and House of Reps candidate for Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general election was over the moon with excitement for the success of the Kaduna outing, describing the tour as a grand and a silencer for those calling the NNPP a “baby party.”

Governorship and Senatorial Candidates of the party from Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara and Jigawa who were present got the flags of the party as touch bearers in the 2023 general franchise which ABG said could be a show of whom the people of Nigeria would stand with in their March for a better country where instruments of governance work.

National Chairman of the party, Professor Rufa’i Alkali said the country needed to move in a different direction of economic growth and prosperity by voting the NNPP’s flag bearer whom he noted had answers to the country’s leadership questions.

He stated that Kwankwaso as one time federal legislator, Senator, governor and minister had all the required experiences and credentials of moving the country forward.

He added that Nigeria was at a crossroads and in dire need of a rescuer who could salvage the nation from its present state of insecurity, poverty, unemployment, corruption and economic crisis.

He urged Nigerians not to be swept away again by deceptive and empty promises of politicians whose motive Was only to grab power with no blueprint on how to move the country forward.

In his remarks, a Chieftain of the party, Buba Galadima eulogized leadership virtues of Kwankwaso, saying the NNPP’s Presidential Candidate would take Nigeria out of her troubled state by revamping the economy and create jobs for teeming number of unemployed youth.

He said the former two term governor of Kano State had a good track records built over the years in service to country and her people.

“He is a man of compassion empathy and deep concern for the welfare of the people who should be of primary importance to policy makers.

“I can assure you that Kwankwso has an outstanding pedigree and immaculate antecedents in public service which I strongly believe he will replicate and possibly surpass if given the chance to be president of Nigeria in the next general election.

“I urge Nigerians to vote all candidates of our party from top to bottom for a better and prosperous tomorrow, “he appealed.

Suleiman Hunkuyi, Abba Kabiru Yusuf and Nura Kalil were presented with the party’s flags as NNPP’s governorship candidates for Kaduna, Kano and Katsina states respectively.

While Aminu Ringim got the flag of Jigawa state governorship candidate of the party.

Others were; Dahiru Umaru for Sokoto, Nasiru Isa Abubakar and Kabiru Jafaka as Kabbi and Zamfara flag berers of the party in 2023 general election.

Kwankwaso in his speech pledged to make education accessible and affordable to children of the poor so they could compete favorably with kids from rich homes.

He promised to diversify the country’s revenue to an export-based economy which would provide agric and other allies products to the world.

Vice Presidential candidate of the party, Bishop Isaac Idahosa while urging Nigerians to trust his principal with their votes, declared Kwankwaso as the awaited messiah who would take Nigeria to the promised land.

Idahosa added that Kwankwaso was not like the usual Nigerian politicians who would promise and fail.
