Crisis looms in Kadpoly as outgoing Rector Refuses to handover, accused of ‘stealing’ N18m

Crisis is currently brewing in Kaduna Polytechnic as theoutgoing Rector, Dr. Mohammed Bello Ibrahim is said to have refused to officially handover to the Acting Rector, and has illegally withdrawn the sum of N18m from the institution’s account.
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) Kadpoly chapter has as a result of the ugly development, issued an ultimatum to him which expires on today Friday.
While commenting on the development, Public Relations Officer of Kasdpoly ASUP, Comrade Abbass Mohammed informed that as at time of filing this report, he was yet to yeild to the ultimatum given.
Kaduna Polytechnic, prided as the largest in West Africa would be engulfed in an avoidable crisis if the former Rector refused to cooperate.
The Acting Rector, Dr. Catherine Uloko, or her predecessor could not be contacted for comments.
