According to sources from the House, the Speaker and her deputy were removed based on allegations of fraud, financial inappropriateness and management that affects the working of the House
However, in a swift reaction, Hon. Olusiji Akindiose, chairman House Committee on Information said the actions by fellow members were condemned and not in good faith and illegal, lies and unfounded, adding that the members still have confidence in the leadership of Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele.
However, reliable information revealed that in a couple of weeks ago, the Speaker, clerk, Accounantt and some principal officers of the House were quizzed in Lagos by security agencies for allegation of fraud and fund misappropriation, with the matter still under investigation.
