Coy Donates Six Sets Of Computers To Immigration Service In Lagos

The computer unit of the Zone “A” Lagos of the Nigeria Immigration Service ( NIS) has received a boost with the donation of six complete sets of computer to it by the Veepee Group, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
The HP products, presented by the Project Manager of the company Mr. Sankalp Tiwari, were received by the Assistant Comptroller General of the Zone, ACG Oluremi Talabi at the Zonal headquarters, Ikeja.
Speaking shortly before the presentation, Tiwari noted that his company has been committed towards the growth of Nigeria since 1975.
He disclosed that the Veepee Group has built a medical facility in Abeokuta, Ogun State named Rabi Medical Centre for the good of the people.
Tiwari recalled that the founder of the Company Mr. Vaswani was awarded lots of honour in the country for his contribution in generating employment and development of the country.
While pledging more support, he said, ” We are committed to continuing this effort in the betterment of this nation wherever we can. We appreciate all you have just said about us and this support is going to continue”.
In her remarks earlier, ACG Talabi applauded the company for the gesture, saying it is timely, base on her request when she assumed office in May 2021.
The ACG hinted that most of the computer set she met on assumption of office were really not functioning properly and inadequate.
She pointed out that the role of the private sector is very important in assisting both government agencies and other sectors, as no ministry or agency of government can have enough allocation from the Federal Government to discharge its responsibilities.
Talabi however posited that the leadership of the Immigration Service is doing its best within the available resources to ensure best service delivery.
Speaking further, the ACG lauded the company for being a law abiding group that plays by the rules without prejudice to its responsibilities to the country.
” When I came in, I solicited your assistance in this regard through your representative and three months after or less than that, here we are. I must say am very appreciative. I appreciate you and pray that your business will continue to do well.
Veepee Group is noted to be one of the companies operating in Nigeria that plays by the rules. All your documents, your monthly returns, all your expatriates have their resident cards, they are not out of the Immigration Status and you comply with the rules, this is what we want”, the ACG asserted.
